At CBS Summer Camp, we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who specializes in music to lead creative and engaging music sessions for children of different age groups. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves music, enjoys working with kids, and wants to make a positive impact in an educational, fun, and outdoor environment.
Whether it's singing, percussion, rhythm games, or musical storytelling – we want someone who can bring the magic of music into our campers’ lives!
What you’ll do:
- Lead daily music sessions tailored to different age groups (3–14 years).
- Use instruments, voice, movement, and rhythm to engage campers in creative musical activities.
- Encourage musical expression and build confidence through performance, games, and group collaboration.
- Support camp-wide events by helping organize musical elements (e.g., talent shows, themed days).
- Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all campers.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching or leading music activities (formal or informal settings).
- Ability to play at least one instrument and lead group music sessions.
- Passionate about music education and inspiring children through music.
- At least 18 years old.
- Available for one or more of the following camp periods:
- July 1–10
- July 11–20
- July 21–30
- Experience working with children (e.g., at camps, schools, workshops).
- Strong interpersonal skills, energy, and a positive attitude.
- English proficiency required (Spanish is a plus).
- CPR/First Aid certification and/or child safeguarding training is a plus.
