Culinary Arts Monitor – CBS Summer Camp

Do you love cooking and working with children? Want to turn your passion for food into an inspiring summer experience? Join our CBS Summer Camp team as a Culinary Arts Monitor!

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and responsible individual to lead fun and educational cooking sessions with our campers. From simple snacks to international dishes, you’ll help kids explore the joy of preparing food while teaching them teamwork, responsibility, and healthy habits.

This is an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy the kitchen as much as they enjoy inspiring young minds!

What you’ll do:

• Organize and lead hands-on cooking workshops for campers aged 5–14.

• Teach basic culinary skills, food safety, and nutrition in a fun and accessible way.

• Encourage teamwork and creativity through themed cooking activities.

• Manage ingredients, tools, and the cleanliness of the cooking space.

• Work collaboratively with the team to support camp-wide activities and events

Requirements:

• Experience in cooking, culinary instruction, or kitchen management (formal or informal).

• Ability to lead engaging activities for children.

• Knowledge of food safety and basic nutrition.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to hygiene.

• At least 18 years old.

• Available for one or more of the following camp periods:
  • July 1–10

  • July 11–20

  • July 21–30

• Experience working with children (preferred).

• English proficiency required (Spanish is a plus).

• Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a team.
